Terms of use
AgentAction lets a person approve or refuse things an AI assistant wants to do. These terms cover the app you install and the hosted service. The source code is separate, and is covered by its own licence.
The three things you might be using
- The app. What you install on a phone to approve or refuse requests. Free to use.
- The hosted service. The approval service operated by Kno2gether Labs Ltd, which companies connect their assistants to.
- The source code. Published at github.com/avijeett007/agentaction under the Apache 2.0 licence. That licence governs the code, and nothing on this page narrows it. You may run it yourself.
If you are the person approving
You need no account and you agree to nothing beyond this page. You pair your phone with whoever set up the assistant, and you can unpair at any time from Accounts.
A decision is yours. When you approve something, the action goes ahead. Read what you are approving — the four-digit code on screen should match the one you were told, and if it does not, refuse it.
If you do nothing, the request expires and the action does not happen. Silence is a refusal, never an approval.
If you are connecting an assistant
You are responsible for which actions you put behind approval and which you do not. AgentAction enforces the rules you set; it does not decide them for you, and it cannot know that an action you left ungated should have been gated.
You are responsible for the text your assistant puts in a request. The person approving sees it and relies on it. Do not put anything misleading in it, and do not put credentials or personal data in it.
You must have the right to ask the people you pair with to approve things, and you are responsible for telling them what you do with their decisions.
What we do not promise
Said plainly, because a security product that overstates itself is worse than one that does not exist:
- AgentAction does not make an AI assistant safe. It puts a person in front of the actions you chose. An action you did not gate runs without asking.
- It cannot tell whether an action is a good idea. That is the judgement of the person approving.
- Notifications depend on Apple's and Google's networks and on the phone being online. They can be late or lost. The app also checks for itself, but a request can still go unseen and expire.
- The hosted service is provided as it is, without a guaranteed uptime unless you have a separate written agreement with us.
Things you must not do
- Use it to get approval for anything unlawful.
- Try to approve on someone else's behalf, or work around the biometric check.
- Attack the service, or attempt to reach accounts or data that are not yours.
- Present AgentAction as your own product, or use the AgentAction name or logo to suggest we endorse you. Running the open-source code yourself is expressly fine — passing it off as something we vouch for is not.
If you find a security problem, tell us at connect@agentaction.online before telling anyone else, and we will work with you.
Suspension
We may suspend access to the hosted service where it is being used to break these terms or the law, or where it threatens the service for others. Where we can give notice first, we will.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows: the app is free and provided as it is; and for the hosted service our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us for it in that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue or data.
If you have a separate written agreement with us for the hosted service, that agreement takes precedence over this section.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top changes with them, and material changes to the hosted service will be notified to the company that holds the account.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
